InteRisk supports Tocal Field Days
Tocal Field Days are a non-profit 3-day event that puts farming on show and benefits local community groups in the Hunter Valley that often struggle financially. The food and wine tasting, as well as Tocal’s favourite activities such as the billy boiling competition, cooking workshops, piglet races, alpaca shearing, gardening talks, livestock demonstrations, horse riding, quad bikes and the ute muster provide entertainment for all. There are also an extensive range of exhibitors that sell everything from farm machinery, produce, art and crafts as well as plants and gardening equipment. For the past 10 years we at InteRisk have volunteered our time, people and risk management knowledge where we have successfully managed the risks associated with the movement of over 250,000 people and their interaction with large farm machinery, vehicle and quad bike use, livestock etc. This year we proudly received a certificate in appreciation for our ongoing support and commitment to the Tocal Field Days. The 2019 Tocal event was a huge success with over 21,000 visitors attending the event and 340 exhibitors present. Local community groups also benefited from donations totalling in $38,840.00. The next event will be held on the first weekend in May 2020, hope to see many of you there.
